Healthcare scheme for NRK Dependents

Introduction

Keralites, by and large, are enterprising, hard-working, and ready to settle down anywhere in the world. Wherever they are, they maintain a link with their hometown and with their near and dear ones. Supporting their families back home through thick and thin is a characteristic of the Malayalee. However, often they are bothered by the fact that timely medical care may not be available to their dependents, simply because there is nobody to advice them regarding which hospital to attend, and no one to transport them to the hospital of their choice.

Recognising this lacuna in medical care, Century Hospital has dedicated itself to provide quality healthcare at an affordable cost, to all the dependents of Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs)

The Scheme

This scheme is designed to cover the preventive and therapeutic aspects of the healthcare of NRKs' dependents, particularly their parents, at the time of an emergency or when there is no on around to take them to a hospital or arrange the necessary funds for hospitalization. The prompt and hassle-free quality healthcare provided to the dependents of the NRKs is the main attraction of the scheme.

How do I become a member?
  1. Download the application form, print it, fill it up and mail it to us with the following:
  2. A demand draft/cheque for either Rs. 50,000 or Rs. 1,00,000 (depending on the quantum of cover you wish to give your dependents)
  3. Two recent copies of your colour photographs ( passport size).
  4. Photographs of your nominees, so that we can provide them with photo ID cards. (If you dont have the photos, ask the nominees to send the photos to the hospital at the earliest, so that we can provide them with photo ID cards).

On receipt of the above documents, we will enroll you as a member and issue an ID card. A member may nominate upto four of his/her relatives as beneficiaries under the scheme either at the time of applying for membership or after becoming a member.

Membership cards will be issued to each of the nominees on receipt of their photographs. These cards should be produced at the admission/health check counter to avail of the credit and discount facilities.

What are the benefits of the scheme?
  1. The member and his/her nominees can undertake cashless transactions at the hospital, so long as there is sufficient balance in the member's account.
  2. All expenses at the hospital, like registration, consultation charges, procedure or surgery charges, room rent, cost of medicines or investigations, diet and any other charges relating to treatment or hospitalisation are covered under the scheme. These charges will be debited from the account of the member and the patient need not make any payment!
  3. This scheme can also be used for the preventive health check up of the member or of his/her nominees.
  4. The hospital can arrange pick-up from the residence or airports at Kochi/Thiruvananthapuram, if so requested by the member or the nominee, in writing. The actual charges thereof will be debited from the account of the member.
  5. The members and their nominees are entitled to a discount of 7.5% on hospital bills except for the transport charges and the diet, laundry and telephone charges included in the bill.

A statement of account showing details of expenses debited and the balance in the member's account will be sent to each member within three weeks from the close of each quarter or as and when either the member or his/her nominee is discharged from the hospital after treatment. The members may replenish their accounts as frequently as they like, in order to keep a minimum credit balance of Rs. 15,000 in the account.
