Facilities

The Neurosurgery Unit handles all accidental injuries involving the head and spine. Elective surgeries for lesions of the brain and spinal cord are also carried out routinely. The unit has a full fledged operating theatre with an operating microscope and pneumatic drill. The ICU is manned by well-trained staff, and has facilities for intracranial pressure monitoring and prolonged ventilatory care.
The unit runs a backache clinic every Monday, in association with the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
