Facilities

The Neuromedicine Department has facilities for handling the full spectrum of neurological cases. The department has an EEG machine, and  a state of the art EMG machine.

The Department offers comprehensive treatment for diseases such as Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS), demyelination etc, with facilities for immune mediation, plasmapheresis and ventilation being available under one roof. Acute cerebrovascular accidents are managed aggresively, while supportive care and rehabilitation facilities are available for chronic cases. The unit offers the latest modalities of treatment for degenerative diseases (eg. Alzheimer's disease) and movement disorders (eg. Parkinsonism).

The Department runs a headache clinic every Thursday and Saturday in association with the Departments of Ophthalmology and ENT.
