- The Department, which has a team of five physicians and a number of junior medical officers, is headed by a senior physician who was trained at the Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, and at the United Kingdom (UK), and has a special interest in Diabetology.

- The Department has facilities to manage all medical emergencies.
- There is an expert team to manage snake bite, poisoning etc.
- Facilities for toxicology screening are available at the hospital.
- The hospital has a Leptospirosis treatment unit.
- Daily outpatient clinic is conducted by all the senior consultants six days of week both in the morning and in the evenings.
- Junior Residents and Senior Physicians are on 24 hours duty within the hospital campus, assuring prompt care to critically ill patients.
- Regular clinics for Diabetes (Dr. Mathew Roy Foundation) and Obesity are conducted with prior registration. (Tue, Thu, Sat)
The hospital has a centrally air-conditioned seven bedded well equipped medical ICU with
- Central piped oxygen, suction.
- Infusion pumps.
- Ventilators.
- Hewlett Packard monitors with facility to monitor O2 saturation, invasive or non invasive BP etc.
- There is also an Intermediary Care Unit (High Dependency Area or Step-Down ICU)with nine beds.
