Introduction

Having faced a paucity of well trained and dedicated paramedical and nursing staff in the region around the hospital, the administrators decided to turn adversity into opportunity and started the Century Institute of Health Sciences in 2002. The Institute offers three degree courses which are affiliated to the Manipal (Deemed) University, four diploma courses recognized by the Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI), New Delhi and one PG Diploma course in Dialysis Technology which follows the scheme laid down by the Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore. All courses are full time, and includes internship training where appropriate.

• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) - 3 years

The school of Nursing at Century Hospital is recognized by KNMC for an annual intake of 20 students. A well disciplined educational unit with good infrastructural facilities, it aims to train nurses to international standards. A dedicated faculty and the availability of the modern facilities of the hospital for practical training enable the students to flower into professional of high quality.
